About Me
My name is Lauren Ramos, and I create custom pet portraits based near Washington, D.C and I am originally from Miami, Florida. I do not have a formal art education. I do have a Bachelor’s in Science in Marine Biology, though!
With time and practice, I became skilled in painting, illustration, web design, and digital media on my own. I believe that practice makes progress. My current hobby is collecting hobbies. I want to learn how to sew next!
I like to create art that is fun and colorful enough to brighten a person’s day. I am often inspired by books, anime, nature, video games, cartoons, memes, and existing as a millennial in 2025 with all of the existential dread. The horrors may persist, but so does my whimsy.
Louise the Manager
The manager is in! Louise is a black-and-white cat who loves to eat dried minnows and yell for attention. My boyfriend and I adopted her from Mount Purrnon Cat Cafe in Old Town Alexandria.
She frequently appears on my social media to supervise my artwork from the comfort of my lap.
Her hobbies include watching Bob’s Burgers, attacking her toys, and judging my farming strategies in Stardew Valley.
Brand Collaborations
Xolo Books
Since I moved to Virginia, I have partnered with one of my besties, Oriana Peñaranda, who owns Xolo Books. It is an indie online bookstore dedicated to promoting diverse reading and literature.
We attend pop-up vendor markets throughout the DMV area. As the creative director, I help sell books, design merchandise, and provide web design expertise to the online bookstore.
Marc Jacobs
I painted complementary cat and dog portraits on newly purchased totes and purses at the Marc Jacobs at Tyson’s Galleria for their Bark Jacobs event in April and May of 2025.
Meowtel Cat Sitter
I am also an official Cat Sitter through Meowtel. Not only will I take care of your kitties and home, I will create a complimentary cat portrait of your kitty to express my gratitude for booking me!
I was featured as the Meowtel Sitter of the Month for April 2025 for providing an amazing cat sitting experience for my clients.
