Megan from Megan and the Rescues asked me to do a portrait of Baby Bird and Foxy. Foxy was a foster kitten from For the Love of Kitten Rescue (FLKR) who unfortunately passed away. Megan wanted to gift the portrait to Mary, the owner of FLKR.

The lightning storm and dumpster fire that says “Everything is Fine“represents what it feels like to be in kitten rescue. I cannot deny someone’s reality, and I was happy to create this chaotic scene.

Less than a week after I sent the portrait to Megan, Baby Bird also passed away sadly. I added halos to both kitties to honor them in the afterlife. RIP, sweet angels <3
